I was 24, and was self assured. I had gotten a job using my degree, journalism, for the paper in town. My job was reporting on the growing homeless problem. I worked for a woman, she was hard on me, she didn't like that I was sensitive to the homeless. It's the difference between a lost rat, and a pest rat.
I met a man, he lived in the high rise where I did. I was closer to being homeless than him. He told me he thought I would make a good "Baby" for him. He would be my "Daddy", take care of me.
I'd rather be homeless.
One day he was waiting for me at work. I agreed to met him. He had bad news, wanted to tell me himself. A break in at my apartment, the door was open, a broken latch. He checked in on me, often. Kept his eye on me. After all, I was his "Baby". He stopped by my apartment to check on me, and he discovered the break in.
He insisted I move in with him, so he could take care of me. I had a "Daddy" whether I wanted one or not. He took me shopping that night, for clothes to dress me. He bought me panties too, in addition to the dress, and shoes. My "Daddy" wanted to make me happy after the break in.
Living with my "Daddy" took me away from my job. My "Daddy" asked me to quit, I had a "Daddy", I didn't need to work, and certainly not talking to homeless people. It was hard, "Daddy's" Baby does what her "Daddy" wants. It's how Baby's are with their "Daddies".
I'm 34, my "Daddy" takes care of me. I'm his "Baby", I do what my "Daddy" wants.
