Reply: My work wife is my Baby, now's the time for Daddy to take care of her

I got fired, fired not laid off, because I refused a direct order, interpreted as insubordination, which violated professional ethics. I walked out after fifteen years, no severance, just the door slamming behind me. 

I had a work wife. A single 28 year old, competent, hard working, gym rat, yoga, athletic, fit, 'dyke' as she calls herself. Her partner in crime, my wife, another physical fitness enthusiast. But work wife because there is a deep personal attachment. She served my coffee, because she has it in her. I call her Baby, she calls me her 'daddy' when referring to me to her friends and others. 

We got together, she asked me not to abandon her, take her with me. My wife was visibly affected, ''you took her in, you 'raised' her, you love her, you accepted her love for you, you can't abandon her'. 'Do not leave her behind'. Then to emphasize her feelings 'walking away from her, is walking away from your wife.'  So she resigned and joined me on the unemployment line. 

I have more than enough money, supporting her isn't the issue. She and my wife bonded, and they present a united front on everything. This has brought it to a head. It's not one, it's both of them together. It's a team. They walk arm in arm together. 

If she's my Baby and I'm her Daddy, then where's the problem. Now it comes to light, out in the open. My wife wants a sabbatical, the 'girls' then have time to map their life out, 'why work if Daddy can support us'. Why not buy one these new three story houses, and everyone is together.
