God NO, was the last words I heard from my father.  The crash was so loud and the car went flying. It was a head on collision with a delivery van who misread the turn signal for the intersection.  I was eleven and all of a sudden we had to move in with a relative. My mother had clerical skills but no college and if wasn't for her relative that let us live there we would have been in a trailer in a third class trailer park. The husband of my mother's relative had rights.  I was too young, but my mother was just right. He had rights to her. I slept on one side of the bed and she slept on the other and when he came knocking I took my pillow and went and sat outside on the couch until he went back to his room. I won't lie, I would push the door open a little and watch him have sex with my mother.  I could tell when he was getting done because he would tense up with her legs around him and lift himself with locked arms. Then I would go back and sit on the couch.

I was seventeen and we were talking about me going to bookkeeping school at his academy.  He interrupted and said I should go to college and get a real degree. That led to the jogger prohibiting me from dog walking, and even having a job in college.
